Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
  • 1 cup 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 pinch a pinch of salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Assembly
  1. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  2. Cover with the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and texture. Don’t overmix the batter to avoid toughness. Optional: Add nuts or chocolate chips for variation. Serve hot for the gooey experience or with a scoop of ice cream.
