Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches If using fresh, peel and slice; if canned, drain the syrup.
  • 1 box dry cake mix Any flavor you prefer.
  • 1/2 cup butter Melted.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Optional for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them or open your canned peaches and drain the syrup.
  3. Spread the peaches evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches evenly, without mixing it in.
  5. Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle some cinnamon on top for extra flavor.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm for the best experience; it's fabulous with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Make sure to evenly distribute the cake mix; if clumps form, the baking may not be uniform. For a drier cake, bake a little longer, keeping an eye on it to avoid burning.
