Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them or open your canned peaches and drain the syrup.
- Spread the peaches evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches evenly, without mixing it in.
- Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the cake mix.
- Optional: Sprinkle some cinnamon on top for extra flavor.
Baking
- Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Notes
Serve warm for the best experience; it's fabulous with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Make sure to evenly distribute the cake mix; if clumps form, the baking may not be uniform. For a drier cake, bake a little longer, keeping an eye on it to avoid burning.
