Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Leavening agent
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Ground cinnamon for flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter Softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-Ins
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, then gradually blend it into the creamed mixture.
  5. Finally, mix in the oats and raisins.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  2. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.

Notes

For thicker cookies, refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. You can also experiment with adding nuts for extra crunch.
