Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 2 cups chocolate (dark or milk) Use high-quality chocolate for richer flavor.
  • 4 cups rice cereal Any type of rice cereal will work.
Optional mix-ins
  • 1 cup nuts (optional) Add your favorite nuts for extra crunch.
  • 1 cup dried fruits (optional) Dried cranberries or raisins can be used.
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes (optional) Shredded coconut adds a nice flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine rice cereal with any additional mix-ins you desire.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal and mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in a lined baking pan.
  5. Allow it to cool, then cut into bars.

Notes

Allow enough cooling time for the bars to set properly. They can be made a few days in advance and stored in an airtight container.
