Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whip together the cream cheese, sugar, and egg yolks until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
- Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cream cheese mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a baking pan and place it in a larger pan filled with water (water bath).
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until set.
- Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick; it should come out clean.
Cooling
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve chilled with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
