Ingredients
  

Tart crust
  • 1 cup Butter, softened For the crust
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour For the crust
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar For the crust
Lemon filling
  • 1 can Condensed milk Sweetened, for the filling
  • 1/2 cup Fresh lemon juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor
  • 2 large Eggs To bind the filling
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest Adds extra lemon flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Press the dough into a tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides.
Baking
  1. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, fresh lemon juice, eggs, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Pour the lemon filling into the baked crust and return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes.
Cooling
  1. Remove from the oven and let the tart cool at room temperature before refrigerating.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For extra richness, serve with a dollop of whipped cream. You can also try adding flavors like lime or ginger for a unique twist.
