Description

A quick and hearty dish that combines the rich flavor of tuna with pasta, perfect for lunch, dinner, or picnics.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (your choice)
  • 1 can tuna (drained)
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup peas (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 splash lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain it and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the drained tuna, chopped celery, onion, and peas.
  3. Add the cooled pasta to the bowl and stir in the mayonnaise, mixing well to coat all ingredients.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Optionally, add Dijon mustard or hot sauce.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for flavors to meld.
  6. Serve chilled, either as a salad or as a filling in sandwiches or wraps.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It’s best consumed within 3 to 5 days. For meal prep, consider mixing in mayonnaise only when serving to keep salad fresh.
