A comforting dish combining soft, pillowy gnocchi with a rich and flavorful tomato sauce.

  • 2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the gnocchi until they float (2-3 minutes).
  2. Drain the gnocchi and set aside.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes and salt, cooking for about 10 minutes until the sauce forms.
  5. Gently fold in the cooked gnocchi, allowing them to soak up the sauce.
  6. Stir in fresh basil and let simmer for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For added richness, top the dish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh herbs.
