A delicious twist on the traditional tres leches cake, featuring a rich combination of three types of milk and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup regular milk
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a rectangular baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy, then gradually add flour and baking powder until combined.
  3. Pour batter into the baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and regular milk.
  5. Once the cake cools, poke holes all over it with a fork and pour the milk mixture over the cake.
  6. Place sliced strawberries on top or in the cake.
  7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then spread over the strawberries.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh strawberries and chill the cake for several hours to enhance flavors.
