Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for slurry)
  • Steamed rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and garlic to create a marinade.
  2. Place the beef slices into the crock pot and pour the marinade over them, stirring to coat.
  3. Add broccoli florets on top of the beef.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Near the end of cooking, stir in a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For best results, slice beef thinly and add broccoli during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Marinate beef overnight for enhanced flavor.
