- 1 pound beef, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for slurry)
- Steamed rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and garlic to create a marinade.
- Place the beef slices into the crock pot and pour the marinade over them, stirring to coat.
- Add broccoli florets on top of the beef.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Near the end of cooking, stir in a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
For best results, slice beef thinly and add broccoli during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Marinate beef overnight for enhanced flavor.
