These moist and soft Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins combine the warm flavors of fall with the delight of chocolate.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, serve with cream cheese frosting or butter. These muffins can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
