Description

Delicious Pecan Pie Bars with a buttery crust and sweet, gooey pecan topping, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Combine the flour, butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl to create the crust. Press into the bottom of the dish and bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the filling over the crust and bake for another 25-30 minutes until set.
  6. Allow bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Try adding a splash of bourbon or maple syrup to the filling for a unique flavor twist.
