Description

A quick and simple version of classic lasagna that’s perfect for busy weeknights, featuring layers of noodles, hearty meat, and melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Place uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, followed by a layer of ricotta cheese and then mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a top layer of meat sauce and plenty of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Consider using no-boil noodles to save time. Let the lasagna rest before cutting for easier serving.
