- 12 fresh jalapeños
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 6 slices of bacon (optional)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash the jalapeños and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, and chopped crispy bacon if using.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Place stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if desired.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and jalapeños are tender.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
