Description

A delicious twist on comfort food, combining traditional meatloaf with the spicy goodness of jalapeño poppers.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 23 fresh jalapeños, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and shape it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

Allow leftovers to cool before storing. They can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months.
