Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 cups of maple syrup into a saucepan.
  2. Heat the syrup over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until it comes to a rolling boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and allow it to cook without stirring until the syrup reaches 240°F on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir the syrup with a whisk or spoon until it thickens and turns cloudy.
  6. Pour the mixture into candy molds or onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Let it cool completely for about an hour before breaking or cutting into pieces.

Notes

Use high-quality pure maple syrup for the best flavor. You can experiment by adding crushed nuts, cinnamon, or vanilla extract for different flavors.
