A comforting and hearty beef stew made easily in a slow cooker with tender beef and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Place the beef at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add potatoes, carrots, and onion on top of the beef.
- In a separate bowl, mix garlic, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for around 480 minutes (8 hours), or until the beef is tender and vegetables are cooked.
- Stir the stew before serving and enjoy.
Notes
For best flavor, consider browning the beef before adding it to the slow cooker and avoid lifting the lid during cooking to ensure even heat.
