Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup cookie dough pieces
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • Blue food coloring (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and flour; mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Spread melted butter over the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon, and add cookie dough pieces.
  7. Roll into a log and cut into slices.
  8. Place slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown.
  10. Prepare blue frosting by mixing powdered sugar, butter, milk, and blue food coloring.
  11. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls and enjoy.

Notes
