Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken sausage
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Slice the chicken sausage into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet, cooking until browned and heated through.
- Remove the sausage and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
- Add the orzo pasta and mix well with the onions and garlic.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Lower the heat and let it simmer, cooking the orzo until tender.
- Add broccoli florets, allowing them to steam until bright green and tender.

- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Be careful not to overcook the orzo. Fresh broccoli enhances flavor, but frozen can work if added earlier.
