Description

Crispy rolled tortillas filled with seasoned chicken, perfect as a snack or main course.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend), shredded
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with spices (cumin, garlic powder, and salt).
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Take a tortilla, add a spoonful of chicken mixture and sprinkle cheese on one side, and roll tightly.
  4. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  5. Fry the rolled tortillas in heated oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and let them rest on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake the flautas at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
