Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and 1 cup sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just blended.
- Gently fold in diced apples.
- For the crumb topping, mix 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour cake batter into greased baking pan and sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool before serving.
Notes
