Description
A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese with sweet apples and tart cranberries.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of thick bread (sourdough or whole grain)
- 2 slices of your favorite cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)
- 1 small apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Spread cranberry sauce on one slice of bread.
- Layer sliced apples and cheese on top of the cranberry sauce.
- Sprinkle cinnamon if desired and top with the other slice of bread.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the sandwich in the skillet for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cut in half and enjoy!
Notes
Use room temperature butter for easier spreading. Experiment with different cheeses for variety.
